Cost-effective industrial motherboard

Axiomtek, an Associate Member of the Intel Communications Alliance (ICA), a community of communications and embedded developers and solution providers, has launched a high performance industrial motherboard, the IMB200, which supports LGA775-pin Intel Pentium D (Intel Dual-Core) processor up to 3.6GHz with a 533/800MHz front side bus (FSB), and features an Intel 865G with ICH5 chipset. With Intel dual-core processing technology, the IMB200 provides excellent performance to handle multitasking and to run multiple applications simultaneously. The IMB200 is specially suited for the solutions which need more effective computing and reliability, such as Digital Video Recorders, Gamine Machines, Point of Service Systems, Video Servers and Intelligent Transmit Systems.

The IMB200 provides the best stability and avoids thermal issues when using Intel Prescott processors.

Processors supported on the IMB200 also include the Intel Pentium 4 supporting Hyper-Threading Technology and ultra low voltage Intel Celeron D.

Four 184-pin DDR DIMM sockets on the IMB200 have a maximum memory capacity of 4GB.

Dual channel DDR technology increases bandwidth and improves overall system performance.

VGA function with Intel Extreme Graphic 2 Technology is built into the Intel 865G chipset which delivers powerful integrated 2D/3D graphics performance, and the board has a maximum video memory of up to 64MB, which is shared by the system memory.

To meet a wide range of application needs, the IMB200 integrated dual SATA, and dual ATA-100 ports and a CompactFash type II socket for storage, plus video and audio AC'97 is great for multimedia environments.

The IMB200 also offers Intel 82547GI Gigabit Ethernet controller and Intel 82562ET Fast Ethernet controller to provide perfect network connectivity.

Additionally, The IMB200 provides six PCI slots, typically required in applications such as Digital Video Recorder/Gamine Machine/Point of Service System/Video Server/Intelligent Transmit System where a large number of peripheral cards are installed.

It is compatible with ISA DMA and non DMA mode cards by PCI-ISA Bridge for extending ISA add-on cards.

Moreover, the IMB200 board is RoHS compliant and comes with rich I/O features including one floppy, six USB 2.0, two PS/2 (keyboard and mouse), three RS232 and one RS232/422/485, two UltraATA 100 EIDE and IrDA interface onboard.
