Embedded board majors on graphics performance

IBase Technology has begun shipping a 5.25in embedded SBC that is based on the CN700 digital media chipset for VIA Eden-V4 processors and supports up to 2Gbyte of DDR2 400/533/667 DIMM memory. With the chipset built-in S3 Graphics UniChrome Pro IGP core, the board performs with exceptional 2D/3D graphics performance and MPEG-2 video playback. The embedded board has a VIA VT1631L LVDS transmitter to support 18 and 24bit panels in single or dual channels.

It supports dual independent displays via VGA CRT and LVDS LCD displays.

The IB799 features the VIA Eden-V4 processor rated for 400MHz or 1GHz speed and comes standard with 10/100 Ethernet and optional Gigabit Ethernet.

It provides a range of connectivity options including six USB 2.0 ports, two Serial ATA interfaces, four COM ports and expansion slots for PCI and PCI-104 interface cards.

Designed for POS, kiosk, ATM and other embedded applications, this low power and fanless board also supports digital I/O and a watchdog timer.
