Change of CFO at software company

A company specialising in software and services to communications device manufacturers and mobile telecom operators has appointed a new CFO.
Esmertec, a provider of software and services to communications device manufacturers and mobile telecom operators, has appointed Dr Konrad Hurni to the post of CFO to replace Deborah Choate, who is leaving to pursue new professional opportunities nearer her home in France. Hurni, who is currently a member of the board of directors responsible for finance and compliance of WW Capital Partners, in Zurich, assumes his new role on 16th April, 2007.

Hurni is a Swiss national who has extensive knowledge in finance management.

In his new position,he will be a member of the senior management team and will report to Esmertec's CEO Jean-Claude Martinez.

Thanks to his support as external consultant for the company for the past several weeks, Hurni has already gained extensive insight into and understanding of Esmertec's businesses.

CEO Jean-Claude Martinez commented: 'We regret Deborah Choate's departure after having achieved major milestones for Esmertec'.

'The management team and board of directors thank her for her valuable contributions during a challenging period for our company and for working with us to assure a smooth transition'.

Jean-Claude Martinez added: 'With the appointment of Konrad Hurni, we have found a highly qualified successor for Deborah Choate'.

'His extensive hands-on experience gained during 10 years of working with Swiss companies will be particularly valuable for Esmertec'.
